At the end of Captain America: Civil War, Cap gives up his shield, breaks his fellow vigilantes out of prison, and goes into hiding in Wakanda. Being a fugitive is odd for Captain America, but it makes a lot more sense if you accept the fact that Steve Rogers is no longer ‘Captain America.’ While promoting the Blu-ray release for Captain America: Civil War, directors Joe and Anthony Russo did confirm to the Huffington Post that when Cap dropped his shield at the end of the movie, it was a symbol for him giving up his superhero mantle.

Principal photography wrapped months ago on Doctor Strange, the latest Marvel Studios movie starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the Sorcerer Supreme. However, Community creator and writer Dan Harmon has been hired to pen script pages to be used for reshoots.

Rovio has confirmed that an Angry Birds Movie sequel is in the works. A Rovio chief executive announced the plans to the Wall Street Journal, stating they have already started planning the sequel but didn’t offer up any other details on who will direct or which stars will return.

According to THR, Christoph Waltz is in talks to play “Doctor Dyson Ido, the cyber-surgeon who finds the cyborg and becomes the mentor of Alita in the Robert Rodriguez helmed Alita: Battle Angel adaptation. The movie will shoot this fall and has previously set Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials actress Rosa Salazar in the title role.

The Weinstein Company has released its first trailer for Lion. The movie stars Dev Patel, Rooney Mara, Nicole Kidman and is based on the true story of a man who was separated from his family as a child and as an adult goes looking for them with the help of Google Earth.

The Fault in Our Stars director Josh Boone has been hard at work on an adaptation of the X-Men spin-off movie New Mutants for months, and now he’s getting a hand from some former collaborators. THR reports that screenwriting duo of Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, who previously penned The Fault in Our Stars and The Spectacular Now, are working on the New Mutants script.
